#Madden15 Madden 15 Ratings: Russell Wilson ties Tom Brady at QB!!!

Russell Wilson is tied with Tom Brady at fourth in Madden ratings.

More Madden: Blake Bortles tops Johnny Manziel in rookie rankings
Although Madden 15 ratings don't reflect reality all the time, they are a good window into the way things are perceived in the NFL. Much has been made about Tom Brady slipping in real life and his rating won't do much to help.
Neither will the Patriots quarterback being tied with Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson as the fourth-overall signal caller.

How did this happen? Wilson is described as "the ultimate dual threat" and has an 86 speed ranking (eighth overall for quarterbacks), 90 agility (seventh), 92 accuracy (second!), and 93 throwing power. Wilson also has 89 deep accuracy (third overall) ranks fifth in throwing it on the run.
Brady, on the other hand, has a 99 awareness (tied for best in the NFL with Peyton Manning) and a 94 short and medium accuracy rating (third) plus a 93 throwing power.
Brady is still VERY good, obviously.
The best part about this rating? It's going to make EVERYONE mad. 49ers fans will be mad because Russell is this high, Patriots fans will be mad because Brady is this low and Seahawks fans will be mad because everyone is mad at them! It's ingenious really.
The three quarterbacks ranked above them shouldn't surprise you.
Drew Brees (96 overall) checks in at third and Aaron Rodgers and Peyton Manning are both tied for first with a 98 overall.

Is Eminem Going To Battle @HollowDaDonLOM At The Next ‘Total Slaughter’???

eminem battle hollow da don total slaughter 2 joe budden won
This weekend the battle rap event put on by Eminem and Watch Loud ‘Total Slaughter’ took place at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC. You were also able to purchase the event via On Demand PPV; many also tuned in via not so kosher live streams to watch the packed battle card.
Arsenal defeated Big T, T-Rex defeated Daylty to become the first official winner of the Total Slaughter contest, Murda Mook handily defeated longtime rival Loaded Lux & Hollow Da Don bested Joe Budden in the final bout.
However the verdict of the final battle did not come without a bit of controversy. Although initial response via social media seemed to side with the official decision that Hollow had won, since then, many (myself included) have shown their support that Joe Budden had indeed won. Popular hip hop forum Itsbx currently has Budden as the victor in a poll that has so far included over 350 votes, also RealTalkNY has a poll with over 2,000 votes with Budden being a dominant winner.
Many felt that the implications of someone like Budden deciding to step into the battle arena could possibly help the burgeoning sub genre immensely. Well if what Hollow Da Don said today on twitter is rooted in any truth then that sentiment may be about to be proven right, to an incredible degree.

It is important to note that Hollow made Shady Records, Eminem manager Paul Rosenberg, and even Em himself the target of many of his scathing bars spit throughout the night.
It’s obviously possible that Hollow is just gassing the public and trying to capitalize on his new found fame; but really is it THAT far fetched? I mean one would think that someone with the stature or Eminem would have everything to lose and nothing to gain; but this is the same man who by all accounts cares about rap and rhyming in general more than any human being on the planet.
Take into consideration that many felt Joe Budden stepping into the battle arena was a very selfless and positive move for the growth of hip hop as a whole, just imagine what it would mean for Eminem- arguably one of the greatest and almost unarguably the most successful rapper ever, to step into this next environment.
Also lets be real here, would anyone truly think Eminem would lose?
We’ll keep you posted with any new developments.

Joe Budden vs. Hollow Da Don, Loaded Lux vs. Murda Mook: Who Won at Total Slaughter?

Eminem first rose to prominence thanks to his skills as a battle rapper and now the emcee plus his label Shady Records are looking to push battle rap as the next big thing. The label booked New York's Hammerstein Ballroom for "Total Slaughter," one of the biggest events in the history of the competitive form, and even offered the event as a pay-per-view program. Prominent hip-hop DJ Sway Calloway hosted, and Poison Pen, Kid Capri and Drect served as judges. So here's the results:
Like Us on Facebook
Joe Budden's matchup against Hollow Da Don was billed as the biggest bout of the night, largely because the former is a name familiar to regular hip-hop listeners and battle rap fans alike. HipHopDX reported that the round was riddled with equipment malfunctions but at the end of final round, Hollow was proclaimed the victor. Budden took the loss in stride, a rarity among rappers of all levels.

"The judges said I lost," he tweeted. "I thought I 2-1'd him, but either way it was a great night!! Congrats to @HollowDaDonLOM!"

Other competitions weren't so full of gentlemanly attitudes. The match between Loaded Lux and Murda Mook was built up by hardcore fans of battle rap who hailed it as a rematch of one of the "greatest battles of all time." Mook used politics to his advantage, referencing a diss track that Lux had released about Busta Rhymes, who was present for the festivities. Lux and Rhymes were seen jawing at each other in between rounds. The moment might have thrown Lux off his game, and the judges announced Mook as the winner as a result.

The most disappointing battle of the night had to be T-Rex versus Daylyt. The latter rapper showed up dressed as Spawn and removed clothes throughout the matchup until he was just wearing underwear, and often forgot to rap in the process. Fans booed and T-Rex took home an easy win.

@WizKhalifa addresses @YoungThug 's Photoshopped Cover Art For "1017 Thug 2"

Wiz Khalifa Addresses Young Thug

Wiz Khalifa says he and Young Thug are one in the same.

Young Thug dropped off his follow up to his 1017 Thug mixtape the other week, 1017 Thug 2. The album contained ten new records available to stream, as well as some conversation-starting cover artwork.
We all know hip-hop mixtapes have a long history of using photoshop, and often times the result is laughable (in a good way). Thugga, or rather someone from his team, used this age old technique for the cover of his new album. For whatever reason, Thug's head was photoshopped on to a picture of Wiz Khalifa's body. They're both extremely lanky and tatted up, so at a quick glance you may not have noticed, but now that the comparison photos have been making their way around these internets, even Wiz Khalifa got in on it.
Wiz tweeted his own conspiracy theory, "Young Thug is actually Wiz Khalifa's body and Young Thugs Head. Thats what Young Thug has been this whole time."
He added later, "Off top i fucc wit any nigga or female that listens to Young Thug."
Take a look at the photoshopped image in contrast to Wiz Khalifa's original in the gallery above.

29 Shot in Chicago Since Friday: Teen Shot Outside Rainbow Push Headquarters

At least 29 people have been shot in Chicago since Friday, including two women shot near Montrose Beach Sunday just hours after the Chicago Pride Parade.
The two women were shot in the 4500 block of North Simonds Drive around 6:45 p.m., police said.
Police initially said one woman was shot in the leg and back and another shot in the leg, but later said a 21-year-old woman was shot in the shoulder and a 48-year-old woman shot in the arm and back. Both were transported to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in serious condition, police said.
The shooting took place a little over a mile away from where the Pride Parade stepped off earlier in the day.
“After the parade a lot of people just go by Montrose Beach,” said witness Kim Shine. “Everyone barbecues out there, vendors sell candy and water bottles, it’s just a big gathering around the hill or beach area.”
Shine said she heard a sound she thought was fireworks but quickly realized was gunshots.
“We were standing near the top of the hill near Montrose Beach and we heard a few noises,” she said. “We didn’t know if it was gunshots or fireworks. We just saw a slew of people running toward us.”

Eleven others were shot Saturday afternoon into Sunday morning.
  • Most recently, a 25-year-old man was shot in the back and buttocks in the Parkway Gardens neighborhood on the South Side. The man suffered gunshot wounds to the back after being shot around 5 a.m. Sunday in the 6400 block of South King Drive and was listed in critical condition. Police did not have any further details surrounding the shooting and said the victim was being uncooperative.

  • Just after 3 a.m., a 34-year-old man suffered a graze wound to the neck near 132nd Street and Langley Avenue. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition, according to Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Michael Sullivan.

  • About 30 minutes earlier, a 37-year-old man was shot in a parking lot near 19th Street and Pulaski Road. The man told police a small, dark-colored vehicle approached him and someone with a handgun exited the vehicle and opened fire. The man was shot in the arm and back and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in stable condition.

  • Just before 1 a.m., a 20-year-old man was shot in the 1800 block of South Throop. The man was standing on a corner when a dark-colored truck pulled up and someone inside the vehicle opened fire, police said.
  • On Saturday, a 24-year-old man was shot in the buttocks around 8:30 p.m. near 78th Street and Bennett Avenue. The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition. Details surrounding the shooting were not immediately available.

  • Two hours earlier, a 27-year-old man was shot in the leg in the 5600 block of South Wolcott Avenue. The man was standing on the block when vehicle approached him and someone opened fire. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition, according to authorities.

  • Just before 5:30 p.m., two people were shot in a possible drive-by in the 6200 block of South Vernon Avenue, police said. A 20-year-old man was shot in the foot and a 32-year-old woman was shot in the upper arm. Both were taken to University of Chicago Hospital for treatment, Sullivan said.
  • Around noon, two people were shot in the 300 block of North Laramie Avenue.

  • A 21-year-old man and a 22-year-old man were passengers in a van traveling southbound on Laramie Avenue. When the van stopped at a stoplight, an offender approached them on foot and opened fire. The 21-year-old was shot in the leg and taken in good condition to Mount Sinai Hospital and the 22-year-old was also shot in the leg and taken in good condition to West Suburban Medical Center.
  • Police said the weekend’s sole fatality, as of Sunday morning, occurred just before 9 a.m. Saturday when a 42-year-old man was fatally shot in the head while riding his bike. The shooting took place in the 3600 block of West Chicago Avenue. Police said the man was taken to Mount Sinai hospital with wounds to the head and right arm and was later pronounced dead.

At least 16 others have been shot in Chicago since Friday, including a teen who was shot just outside the Rainbow PUSH Coalition’s headquarters and just two blocks away from President Barack Obama’s Chicago home.
